Khao San Road night market is one of the top things to do in Bangkok, Thailand’s capital. Filled with awesome shopping bargains, countless places to eat and vibrant nightlife, it’s a staple among the traveling and backpacking community.
You don’t need to go far before you stumble upon a restaurant you’d like. There’s plenty of traditional Thai food as well as plenty of Western food as well. If you’re wanting to be a bit more adventurous, there’s always the option of some freshly cooked insects like scorpions, cockroaches and many other delicious creepy-crawlies.
Khao San Road is for pedestrians only. The entire road is sealed off from traffic which makes it the ideal shopping experience.
The entire street is filled with vendors selling just about anything imaginable. Anything from clothes to DVDs and paintings.
Later on in the evenings, Khao San Road can get pretty lively. Loud, club music can be heard coming from most of the bars, which tend to start filling up at this time.
There’s plenty of bars and clubs to have a really awesome night out. One of these spots is called “Gazebo“, a rooftop bar which was recently voted as one of the best bars in the world!
Overall, Khao San Road is a must-visit place if you plan on traveling to Thailand.
