How’s it going today guys? This is a bit of a change from my regular posts but I thought I would take this time to tell you guys a bit more about myself (well, random facts about myself). I don’t tend to talk about myself on this blog (with the exception of my travels) but I want you guys to know a bit about the guy sitting behind this computer every day.
Also, we want to get to know you guys as well! Leave a comment, telling us something about yourself!
8 Random Facts About Me
I never really travelled independently until I went to Japan to become a ski instructor. Japan was incredible! I loved it so much, I ended up staying for a whole year, and also ended up meeting my girlfriend there (Wakana is also a photographer and actually runs the Gaijin Crew Instagram account, which you should check out!).
My favourite sport in the entire world is basketball. This is strange for a British person but I just can’t get enough of it. I’ve been playing it for about 10 years now! Before I started Gaijin Crew, I actually had my own basketball blog!
My favourite food is just anything that’s banoffee (banana and toffee) flavoured. I’m usually more of a savoury person when it comes to food but there’s just something about it! I love food in general. One of my favourite aspects of travelling is getting to try new food from different cultures, all over the world!
As well as travelling, I love music – some of my favourite artists include Audioslave, Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Nirvana. I love implementing music into my travels since you can establish a deep connection between a certain artist or song with a place you have been. Always have a travelling soundtrack!
I am a little shaky when it comes to heights. With that being said, I still really want to try sky-diving. My main fear is insects (like big, scary looking ones!). I tend to just freak out a bit if I see one. Not the smartest thing to do, I know!
If I could have dinner with anyone in the world, it would be Peter Joseph, who is the founder of the Zeitgeist Movement. I could talk for days on end about this, so I’ll save it for another time. I’m always up for a conversation or a debate when it comes to big questions and world issues!
