The Kangra Valley Railway is a train that runs through the Himalayan mountains in northern India for a stretch of about 100 miles.
It does take about 10 hours to complete the 100 mile journey but there are two main reasons why you should experience this.
First of all, the Kangra Valley Railway is unbelievably cheap!
For the whole thing it will cost you about 42p (35 rupees)! That’s for 10+ hours as well as over 30 stops!
But just because it’s cheap, doesn’t that mean it’s really cramped, uncomfortable and not worth doing?
Well, I haven’t gotten on to reason number 2 yet….
The Himalayan mountains are among the biggest, most famous and most beautiful mountains in the world.
You are able to venture through these stunning peaks and it costs you pretty much nothing, that sounds pretty worth it to me!
Also, along this railway, the train ventures over around 950 bridges in the 10 hour journey! Many of these are considered to be amazing feats of engineering and are a sight to behold in their own right!
Just a little random post for you guys today. Hopefully you found it interesting!
